Prayer Ministries
The Body of Christ at St. John’s continues to experience the power of believing prayer. Currently there are several ways members can participate in the prayer ministry of St. John’s.
INTERCESSORS
Prayer request cards are available in the sanctuary. They are filled out and placed in the prayer box in the narthex or put in the offering plate. Several people have volunteered to come to the church once a week to pray for the requests on the cards.DAY OF PRAYER - Periodically St. John’s offers a Day of Prayer during which intercessors come to the chapel to pray for others in our church family. By the end of the day, everyone in St. John’s has been prayed for by name.
UPPER ROOM PRAYER GROUP
Participants meet on Wednesday evenings to pray for our church family, our pastors, our mission outreach, and for requests from the Upper Room Living Prayer Center. Contact Monty Montgomery at 648-5762 for more information.
ST. JOHN'S PRAYER LIST
Every member is encouraged to pick up this extension of the church newsletter that is available in the narthex and updated weekly. The list includes those in hospitals, upcoming surgeries, the recently bereaved, those ill at home, friends and relatives of members who need prayer, nursing home patients, and praise reports. Please pick one up each Sunday and include your church family in your personal prayer time. The prayer list may also be received via email by contacting the church office.
DAY OF PRAYER
Periodically St. John’s offers a Day of Prayer during which intercessors come to the chapel to pray for others in our church family. By the end of the day, everyone in St. John’s has been prayed for by name.
“And after He had sent the multitudes away, He went up to the mountain by Himself to pray” (Matthew 14:23)
If Jesus needed to pray to His Father, how much more do we need to pray?
