Katie G. Williams - Room 121

Mrs. Katie G. Williams (1876-1948), a faithful member of St. John’s, served her church as a Sunday School teacher, a leader of the Missionary Society, and in all phases of church activities as long as she was able. A true Christian lady, she lived her religion.

We, the current “Katies” aim to uphold her Christian reputation by our service to others through our involvement in our church, our local community, and abroad (Honduras Agape sponsorship.) Our ages range from 65 to 105. Some of us are homebound, but that does not limit us from serving, through phone calls, cards, work with church mailings, etc.

We use the Adult Bible Series, and are fortunate to have excellent rotating teachers. Lively debates arise from time to time - just ask some of our guest teachers! Despite our advancing ages, we are quite a feisty group.
