St. John's is a warm, friendly congregation reflecting the diverse Aiken community. • We offer families with young children a warm, safe and loving environment. • We offer retirees a wide range of opportunities for participation...whether a little or a lot. • Families with teenagers will discover a very active, stable program for junior and senior high students. • Music lovers four and older have opportunities to sing or ring. One of the most accurate words to describe St. John’s may be family. We encompass many generations and you can never be certain which subject is going to come up around the table. We grow in faith and number by sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ, through worship, nurture and service. Becoming a Member of St. John’s Persons desiring to participate in the mission and ministry of St. John’s are invited to become members of the church. Here's how one becomes a member: Profession of Faith - for those who desire to profess their Christian faith for the first time, or after a long absence from any church involvement. Profession of Faith with baptism - same as above with the sacrament of baptism for those who have never been baptized. Transfer from another denomination - For those who have a current church membership in a denomination other than the United Methodist church. Transfer from another United Methodist Church - For those whose membership is with another United Methodist congregation.
